Asgard Retreat is a secluded luxury escape perched upon Mount Fisher, Northern Australia’s highest volcano, within the ancient Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland. Reached exclusively by helicopter, the retreat is immersed in World Heritage rainforest, surrounded by endemic birdlife and wildlife, shifting mountain landscapes and expansive views across the surrounding ranges and tropical coastline.
The Arrival
Your journey to Asgard is part of the experience. Arriving by helicopter, the landscape opens beneath you before giving way to complete seclusion atop Mount Fisher. From the moment you land, the outside world disappears, replaced by rainforest, stillness, and uninterrupted views across the surrounding ranges.

The Spa Pavilion
Just beyond the main residence, the spa pavilion offers a secluded space surrounded by open views and stillness. A four-person spa anchors the room, framed by expansive windows and a bar-height viewing bench that draws the landscape in.
Complete with a kitchenette, private bathroom and a loft sleeping space, this is a place to slow down, settle in, and take in the surroundings from a different perspective.

Time moves differently at Asgard. Spend slow mornings overlooking the landscape, wander surrounding bush tracks, or settle indoors as cloud moves across the ranges.
Evenings are best spent quietly - with good company, a glass of wine, and the isolation of the mountain settling in around you.
At Asgard, cooking becomes part of the experience. The expansive kitchen features generous bench space, dual ovens, an indoor barbecue, and a wood-fired pizza oven for slow evenings overlooking the landscape.
